Barlows Plantation
The New Lake is now maturing very nicely, and the additional planting carried out at the end of last summer is growing well, and adding lots more features and colour to the lake.
The introduction of specimen Tench, Bream and Perch, plus the large stocking of Roach, Rudd, Skimmers and small Chub, is making this a very popular venue with our members. The intention is to develop this lake into a venue that produces quality bags of fish other than Carp, and to this end we have only introduced 14 quality Carp into the water. However, it has been reported that plenty of smaller carp in the 3lb to 5lb bracket have been caught this season, which must either have escaped from the Old lake, or been moved from the Old lake.
Please remember that any unauthorised movement of fish to, from, or between our lakes will result in a lifetime ban from the club.
