News - August 2008

The Charity Day for 2008 will be held on Sunday August 17th across all four lakes plus Blue Pool.  This year the charity matches are to raise funds for the Special Children's Baby Unit (SCBU) at the North Hanpshire Hospital.

Anyone wishing to make a donation to these worthy causes, please contact Keith Brown.

Following the matches, there will be a barbeque and raffle at Barlows, commencing at around 4pm.

Adventure AS fished Whitehouse on a hot and sunny July 27th, with the fish more interested in basking in the sun than feeding.  However, the winner still managed to catch 19lb of carp from behind the island, followed by 12lb from one of the new pegs in the trees between the car park and the road bank.

The Tadley Angling evening match on July 31st at Old Barlows was won by Steve Davis with 16lb 1oz, consisting of a carp of close to 10lb plus 6lb of smaller carp and tench.
